In stress mode, a timer bar is continually decreasing. Popping bubbles increases the timer slightly, requiring swift and continuous popping to prevent the timer from emptying, which results in a new row of bubbles appearing.
Clean
Clean mode presents no bubbles to shoot. Popping bubbles requires touching groups of two or more, but caution is necessary to avoid being left with only one bubble of a particular color. If this occurs, the game ends.
